Sayur Asam

Ingredients to Prepare :

  • 2 liters of water (200 cc)
  • 75 g (11/2 handful) dried / fresh groundnuts
  • 125 g (50 piece) melinjo nut, stalks removed
  • 200 g (1 piece) large sweet corn preferably "Bangkok Corn"
  • 150 g (1/2 portions) chayotes
  • 75 g (6 pods) long beans

Seasoning :

  • 1 sachet of Munik Sour Tamarind Vegetables Soup Seasoning

Cooking Direction :

  1. Pour water into a wide-base medium saucepan; add in all vegetables and Munik instant seasoning
  2. Cook with low flame for 45 minutes, brings the vegetables to simmer
  3. Ready to serve

Tips and Notes :

  • If the soup is too sour, add some water and then continue to boil for another 5 minutes
  • If the soup is not sour enought, continue to boil according to personal taste
  • There is no need to add anything else in this seasoning
